LE BOURG is ideally situated for sightseeing; close by are the scenic waterfalls at MORTAIN and the medieval town of DOMFRONT.

40 minutes away is the impressive site of MONT ST. MICHEL; along the BRITTANY coastline is CANCALE, famous for its shellfish, then on to ST. MALO with its old walled city.

Also in BRITTANY there is the city of RENNES, which has chic French shopping and the old streets with their medieval buildings dotted with numerous bars and restaurants. Other places to see are the Chateau in FOUGERES, the picturesque historic town of DINAN and the Cathedral at DOL DE BRETAGNE.
Back into NORMANDY heading up the coast to the CHERBOURG peninsula you have the marine harbour of GRANVILLE, where in the summer you can take day trips to GUERNSEY; about an hour's drive away is VILLEDIEU LES POELES with its copper shops and further on is BAYEUX with museums and the famous tapestry.

Less than 2 hours away are the NORMANDY landing beaches and Second World War museums.
Closer to home is the market town of ST. HILAIRE DU HARCOUET, which has a weekly market every Wednesday. At the beginning of November St Hilaire hosts St. Martins Fair, with over 800 stalls selling everything and a funfair in the evening; the main streets are closed for 3 days.
